The World Mind Sport Games Fund

Hundreds of the world's top mind game competitiors will meet in Beijing next October for The First World Mind Sport Games, a part of the Olympic movement. Organized by The International Mind Sports Association (IMSA) and sponsored by The General Association of International Sport federations (GAISF), the games will feature chess, bridge, draughts, go and shangxi(Chinese chess). All mind sport enthusiasts are grateful to the People's Republic of China and the China Card and Board Games Center for making this event possible.
A playoff among the strongest eligible players will be arranged by The American Go Association select the American go team of 15-20 players. They will compete in a total of six individual and team events during their two week stay in Beijing:
Men's Indivudal
Women's Individual
Men's Team
Women's Team
Pair Go
Amateurs Only
American players will be the guests of the host country; the only expense is getting there. So your donation is a sort of "matching grant" -- once our team arrives in Beijing, the rest is covered. The success of our effort to support and train the American team will depend on your support.
