 N.A. FUJITSU CUP DOWN TO FINAL FOUR: (11/22/08): Only four players are left after two rounds of the North American Fujitsu Cup were played today on the KGS go server. A crowd of 400 turned out to watch Andy Liu defeat former champion Thomas Hsiang, while top seeds Jie Li and Huiren Yang turned in solid performances to make it to the semi-finals. But in a stunning second-round upset, defending champion Mingjiu Jiang let a favourable position vanish when he lost on time against Redmond Cup champion Gan Sheng Shi. Tournament director Daniel Short commented that the final two rounds are shaping up to be "an epic fight." A full tournament grid and game records are located on the tournament web page.
