MEMBER’S EDITION: American Go Yearbook

Monday May 17, 2010

The long-awaited 2009 American Go Yearbook — which will be in the mail to members next week — is just a click away! While the hard-copy edition of the Yearbook is on the way, click above to download a PDF of the annual compilation of the “best of” the American Go E-Journal, which includes extensive coverage of major 2009 events like the U.S. Go Congress, North American Ing Masters and the World Amateur Go Championship, as well as regional events such as the Cotsen, Jujo Jiang, New Jersey and Maryland Opens. Also included are highlights from the E-Journal’s instructional columns, including Yilun Yang’s tsume-go problems, Haruyama Isamu 9P on Questions From Actual Play, Kazunari Furuyama on Important, Fundamental Matters and Yuan Zhou 7d on Amateur Games. A special Presidential section features the story and photos about the American-made Obama go board and an interview with AGA President Allan Abramson. There’s also youth go coverage, lots of photos, ratings, the Guide To Go,  Where To Play Go In America and The Go Players Guide To The World. What’s not included is the Yearbook CD, which we’re looking for help finishing. If you know how compile files into a CD and are interested in helping, please email journal@usgo.org
