Published in the September 17, 2013 edition of the American Go E-Journal.

I’ve seen many amateurs make incorrect peeps.  In this lesson I’m going to explain correct and incorrect peeps with the use of the Kobayashi opening.  The target of this lesson is adults, especially those who haven’t learned or gained basic peeping shapes.  Once having learned these basic shapes, children don’t make the mistakes in this lesson.  By the way, Kobayashi Koichi 9P started playing the Kobayashi opening.

A longtime contributor to the American Go E-Journal, former insei Kazunari Furuyama has returned with his popular EJ column, now in sgf files and re-named “Lessons with Kaz”.  Kaz co-authored Kiseido’s “Get Strong at Joseki”, volumes 2 and 3 and is now teaching on KGS Plus.  For more material and information, e.g., what a $30 mistake is, see Kaz’s website.
