Wrong.
White 1 might look OK, but Black 2 cuts off White
from the huge upper left territory.
Black 4 takes too much territory, and White still
has a weak group.
Correct.
White's light capping play of 1 minimizes Black's
potential territory.
Black has such dominating influence that the conservative
knight's move of 2 is fine.
White must play lightly with 3 within Black's powerful framework.
Through 9 is the best that White can do.
Black has taken a reasonable amount of
territory, but White has some center thickness.
White variation.
If White tries for too much with 3,
Black 4 and 6 cut White into two.
