Solution follows    (or click here to download SGF)

Best.
Black 1 aims to overconcentrate White along the top where White already has overwhelming influence, while also creating Black forcing moves on the outside to build the Black moyo on the right side.

Black 3 gives up two stones, for a big forcing move at 5. With 11, Black has time to make a second moyo-building move. Black has a superb position.

Wrong timing.
If Black plays at the bottom with 1 first, White reinforces and solidifies with 2, but more importantly, exposes a weak point in Black's position at A. Black would hate to have to go back to defend at A.

By comparison, the correct line above sacrificed two Black stones to eliminate this weakness.

Too solid.
Black 1 lets White push up with 2 to help build White's moyo, and leave the lone White stone on the right side as "light".
