Solution follows    (or click here to download SGF)

Correct.
White 1 is yet another practical tesuji worth memorizing. If Black leans on White from the outside with 2, White dodges into the corner and up the left side through 9. White's original stones up the left side make this strategy especially effective.

Black variation.
If Black plays solidly with 2 to stop White's success in the previous diagram, White calmly makes life in the corner through 7. Black's corner territory potential has evaporated.

Black variation.
If Black tries to defend the corner with 2, White makes a big capture of the 2 stones along the bottom. Plus White still has aji along the left lower side.
