Slack.
Black should certainly NOT try to capture Whites stone on the 3rd line, but pulling back with 1 is too easy on White. After 2, White makes good shape toward settling himself within Black's sphere of influence.


Correct.
Black 1 and 3 are the tesuji. White has to move out into the center with 4. Through 8, Black happily chases White while building up the top right area.


White variation.
Note that White cannot dare to capture with 4. With Black 7, White is under severe pressure. Even a more timid Black A (instead of 7) gives Black a satisfactory result.
