Can a pro make a mistake on a kyu level tsumego exercise?!
You decide.

Solution follows    (or click here to download SGF)

A mistake?
The solution says that White 1 is the vital point, but only gives the attack at Black 2. But with 3, White easily makes a 2nd eye on the left. The solution says that White lives.

Black refutation?
Instead, Black 2 seems to kill White! White can try to catch Black in a shortage of liberties with 3, but with Black 4, White is the one in a shortage of liberties. Without being able to atari from the inside, White dies.

See the SGF for other possible White defenses.

Correct solution?
White 1 seems to be the correct move to solve the problem. Black can jump to 2, but with 3, White has a direct ko.
