Correct.
White 1 is the only point. (To see what happens if White incorrectly encloses the lower right corner, see last week's problem.) If Black defends the upper right with 2, White then has time to enclose the lower right with 3. White would welcome the opportunity to start a fight, if Black invades at A.


Black variation.
The high approach at 2 seems best for Black. (See the SGF for variations with a low Black approach move.) In any event, White pincers with 3. The variations are complex, but in general White's middle right stone is in a good position. In this sequence, White has given up the corner, but has developed both sides.


Black variation.
If Black varies with 4 for more outside influence, the sequence here might follow. And White doesn't have all that much cause for dissatisfaction.
