Solution follows    (or click here to download SGF)

Failure.
Black 1 is not only bad, but also risky. One good option is for White to take corner profit with 2. Then after the sequence to Black 5, White can dodge to 6, which makes effective use of the White stones below. The fight should be favorable for White.
Note that the ladder is good for White!

White variation.
White 2 is another strong option. If Black guards the corner with 3, White can press with 4. White's large knight enclosure in the lower right is the focal point of the position.

Correct.
Black should be content with the standard answer at 1. Then if White makes the standard development move down the right side at 2, Black can counter with a large moyo move at 3.
