Solution follows    (or click here to download SGF)

Unsuccessful.
White 1 looks promising, but fails. Through the straightforward sequence to 4, Black catches White in a shortage of liberties. Black 6 captures all the White stones.

See the SGF for these and many more variations.

Slack.
White 1 is slack. Through 8, White saves his stones, but Black escapes with all but 2 stones. White can do better.

Bad timing.
The monkey jump with White 1 is the right idea, but the timing is bad. After 6, White has to fight a ko to capture the Black stones. White can still do better.

Correct.
The slow looking play at 1 give White the best result. With 3, White can first reduce Black's liberties. Then after 5, Black is the one in a shortage of liberties. White 7 convinces Black.
