Correct.
White 1 is the only move that works.
What an odd looking tesuji!
Black can try the obvious defense at 2,
but White can simply pull out his corner stone with 3.
After White 7, Black cannot make a 2nd eye.
Black variation.
A Black hane defense at 2 also seems to show promise, but
White can still pull out his corner stones with 3.
After 5, White's stones escape, so Black's corner dies.
White failure.
White 1 fails when
Black takes the vital point with 2.
With 6, Black has a ko.
Another White failure.
White 1 doesn't work either.
Black can simply block with 2 to make an easy life.
