White 1 is a suitable response. Through Black 4, both sides are satisfied.


Inferior.
White 1 is tempting. Through 7, White follows a joseki, but the problem is that Black takes sente to make the perfect reducing move at 8.


Better.
If White wants to respond on the left side to Black's approach, then the star point at White 1 is better.
