THE THIRD US YOUTH GO CHAMPIONSHIP

The AGA is pleased to present another season of national individual competition for U.S. youth. Our goal for this program is to create more and better opportunities for American youth who are US citizens and reside primarily in the US to compete at higher levels, make new friends with their go-playing peers and others, recognize that there is a long-term view of playing go in the U.S. and ultimately, select the United States representatives in international competition.

Finalists selected at a series of regional tournaments will meet in May for the finals. The winners of the Senior and Junior Divisions will represent the United States in the World Youth Goe Championship next summer. The American Go Foundation will also provide each finalist with a $400 scholarship to this year's AGA Summer Youth Go Camp.

Senior Playoffs

After six rounds, Calvin Sun, William Zhou and Ricky Zhao remain tied according to the Ing tiebreak system. A two-round elimination playoff tournament will be held to determine the national champion.
