In this round 2 game of the 4th AGA Pro Qualifier Finals, the 1st 5 moves are all on star points. But the game quickly develops into a huge life and death struggle, with a couple of complicated kos thrown in, as if the game wasn’t complicated enough. Yet after big exchanges, the dust finally settles down to reveal a half point win! Calvin clearly guides the reader through what is happening at each stage of this wild and tense game.

Calvin Sun 1P, an AGA certified professional, has been a mainstay of the youth go scene for over a decade. He first came to national attention when he was just 7 years old, and became a finalist in the 2005 Redmond Cup. He went on to win the Redmond Cup the following year, and was the reigning Junior Champion the year after as well. Already 6 dan by the age of ten, he dominated most of the events he played in, and represented the US at the World Youth Goe Championships an unprecedented seven times. Sun is a student of Mingjiu Jiang 7P, and lives in the Los Angeles area.
