The 3rd international Bailing Cup Tournament finals is a best of five games match. A Chinese pharmaceutical company sponsored the tournament. Ke Jie is currently ranked number one in the world. His playing style is very flexible and he is particularly strong in reading skill and fighting, frequently making surprising moves. Chen Yaoye is also very famous and has been ranked number one in China. As a teenager in 2006 Chen reached the finals of the international LG Cup, winning the first two games but losing the next three. His style is territorial but in the new style: taking solid territory and then fighting on the outside. (See Yuan Zhou’s new book “The New Territorial Style” available on Amazon.) Today’s game is number two in the series. Ke Jie is Black and Chen Yaoye is White.
