Join Us! For our First Ever State Championship!
The Rhode Island State Championship & Open is a Go tournament held in Providence, Rhode Island, bringing together players of all skill levels for an exciting and friendly competition. Set in the heart of Rhode Island, the event offers a great opportunity for both beginners and experienced players to challenge themselves, improve their skills, and connect with the local Go community. The open tournament features four rounds, with players grouped based on their rankings, ensuring a balanced and competitive environment. There will be prizes for the top performers in all sections. The state championship will run concurrently with the open. In early rounds, RI players play in the open to be seeded in the state championship tournament bracket. When players are eliminated from the state championship, they return to the open tournament. Whether you're a seasoned Go enthusiast, or new to the game, the Rhode Island State Championship & Open provides a welcoming atmosphere and a chance to engage with fellow players.
