The "Impossible" Tian Yuan Tower Problem

This is the go problem on the lobby wall in the
Hangzhou Tian Yuan Tower
(see story below)
where this year's World Amateur Go Championship is being held. According to our guide, "it's impossible to solve this problem" but we have faith in our readers.
