Raleigh, NC — Go players from across the region will gather this summer for the 2025 Burning Board Go Festival, set for June 16–22 at Camp Lapihio in Umstead State Park. The weeklong event offers a unique blend of competitive play, casual games, and social activities in a scenic, wooded setting just outside downtown Raleigh.

Highlights of the festival include a three-day, six-round AGA-rated tournament, as well as workshops, simultaneous games, and lectures from renowned Go teachers Yuan Zhou and Michael Chen 1P.

In addition to organized events, participants can enjoy open play, evening discussions, and plenty of time to connect with fellow Go enthusiasts in a relaxed and nature-filled environment. Accommodations include rustic cabins at Camp Lapihio, with options for offsite lodging. Lunch will be provided on select days.

Registration is open now and must be completed by June 9. All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
