After four rounds of play at the 2025 U.S. Open Go Tournament, held during the U.S. Go Congress in Austin, Texas, the Open Division leaderboard is crowded at the top, with six players tied at 3-1 heading into the final weekend.

Tianyuan Zhang 6d, Kevin Xu 5d, and Yixian Zhou 6d are among the top-ranked contenders with strong SOS scores, but they’re not alone. Daehee Cho 6d, Shu-Hui Lin 5d, and Edward Zhang 6d also sit at 3-1, setting up a thrilling two-round finish to determine who will emerge as champion.

Xinyi Qian and Xukun Jiang, both 5d, remain close behind in the standings with solid tiebreaks and a shot at catching the leaders.

In Division B, Felix Huang 4d and Kaixuan Liu 4d have emerged as the front-runners, both undefeated at 4-0. Meanwhile, Division C’s top ranks are currently led by Yifu Zhao 3d and Toby Chen 3d, also perfect through four rounds.

With two rounds left to play, the competition across all divisions is fierce, and no clear winner has yet emerged in the Open. Players will need to bring their best to the boards this weekend as the 2025 U.S. Open enters its final stretch.
