The 2025 U.S. Go Congress Seniors Tournament featured strong play across all levels, with
several players going undefeated in their divisions.
In the Pro Division, Weibin Jin 7p, the sole professional participant, delivered a commanding performance, finishing a perfect 5-0 to take first place.
The Dan Division was tightly contested, with three players finishing at 4-1. Yun-Bo Yi 5d claimed first place on tiebreaks, followed by Qiao Ran 2d in second and Jerry Young 1d in third.
In the Kyu Division, an unusual four players finished undefeated at 5-0, showcasing the depth of talent in the field. Xilong Zhang 2k took top honors, with Paul Margetts 3k, Yong Yiu 3k, and
Nathan Hess 12k finishing second through fourth, respectively, based on tiebreaks.
The tournament brought together senior players for a spirited week of competition and camaraderie, proving once again that Go truly is a game for all ages.
