Yuan-Jyun Wang 9p delivered a flawless performance at the 2025 North American Masters

Tournament, including a critical 5th-round victory over 2024 NAMT champion Seonghoon On 9d, the only other undefeated player, which proved to be the tournament’s turning point.
A trio of professionals—Ryan Li 4p, Cheng-Hao Hsiao 9p, and Alexander Qi 1p—rounded out the top five, each finishing with strong 5-2 records and fighting hard in one of the toughest U.S. Masters fields to date.
Further down the leaderboard, pros and top amateurs alike battled in tightly matched games across all seven rounds. Notables with 4-3 finishes included Henry Yu 2p, Haoran Wang 7d, and Brady Zhang 7d, while a strong pack of 6- and 7-dans with three wins showed just how deep the talent runs in North American Go.
