Jersey City, NJ: The 2025 MacArthur Go Festival & Championship brought players and families to Morris Canal Park for a full day of competitive play and community activities along the Hudson River on September 13. The event featured an Open Championship, multiple group tournaments, and a Family Go Fun Zone offering beginner lessons and casual games.

The tournament awarded thousands in cash prizes and trophies—including an $800 top prize to undefeated 7-dan Ninghan Duan in the 16-player Open Division.

Organizers thanked Festival sponsor Dr.
Seo Hyo-seok and the Pyunkang Korean Medicine Hospital, as well as volunteers Devin Fraze, Juelz Kwan, Peter Armenia, Jeff Chou, Sherrie Ye, “and all parents and supporters for smooth pairings, logistics, and awards.”
