Registration is now open for this year’s U.S. Go Congress, which will take place July 25–August 1
in Boston, Massachusetts. The weeklong gathering brings together players of all levels for tournaments, lectures, professional events, and a full slate of social and cultural activities.
All players must be current members of the American Go Association (AGA) throughout the Congress; non-participants do not need to be members. Players residing outside the United States may request a complimentary AGA membership. Family and group registrations can be completed under a single account, with group discounts available for six or more participants.
Youth participation continues to be strongly supported thanks to a generous grant from the American Go Foundation (AGF). Players aged 17 and under can use the coupon code YouthReg2026 to receive $300 off the standard $399 youth registration fee. Youth participants must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and complete a required online Youth Agreement in advance. The AGF also offers scholarships for youth and for college students ages 18–26.
Congress registration includes the Awards Banquet as well as the traditional Welcome Bag, featuring a T-shirt, coffee mug, and other items. Registration options include full-week, partial-week, and evenings-only attendance. Full-week fees are $499 for adult players, $399 for young adults (ages 18–22), $399 for youth players, and $149 for non-participants.
Full payment is required at the time of registration. Refunds are available on a sliding scale through July 15. Accepted payment methods include major credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Organizers also report strong demand for onsite lodging. By popular request, additional King single rooms have been added to the discounted hotel block at the Boston Marriott Newton, where the Congress will be held. Rooms of all types are booking quickly, and attendees are strongly encouraged to reserve early to stay close to games, events, and late-night analysis sessions. The hotel offers a scenic riverside location along the Charles River, just minutes from downtown Boston, Harvard, and MIT.
Registrants who book within the Congress hotel block may receive a $100 discount on their registration fee by entering their hotel confirmation number; the discount applies to the first 120 rooms booked.
