The Canadian Go Association will hold its 8th annual summer camp at Jouvence
resort (Inside Mont Orford National Park), about an hour east of Montreal, from August 23–28.
Blending instruction, competition, and outdoor recreation, the camp has become a highlight of the Canadian Go calendar. Attendance in 2025 reached 54 players across all levels—from beginners to top amateurs—along with family members, many of whom return year after year.
Mornings are devoted to structured play, including a league with game reviews led by professional instructors Yoonyoung Kim 8P and Inseong Hwang 8d.
Afternoons take advantage of the resort’s setting and amenities, with options such as boating, sports, and group activities—or simply relaxing by the lake. Evenings return to Go, featuring lectures, Pair Go, team matches against instructors, and smaller tournaments.
The non-profit resort setting allows organizers to offer an unusually high level of meals, accommodations, and programming at a relatively accessible cost, making the camp especially appealing for players traveling with family. Children are welcome with attending adult supervision.
Space is held for participants through May; after that, rooms may be released to other guests. Registration is first come, first served, with a waiting list available if the camp fills.
