AGF needs-based
camp scholarships are now available for new registrations for the Hawaii Go Camp, offering up to $250 per kid. With expert professional instruction from Myungwan Kim 9P the camp is targeted at kids 5-15 kyu. Parents can enjoy a vacation at the Pagoda Hotel in Honolulu while kids are improving their game and having fun. The camp will be held July 25th- August 1st and is open to kids aged 6-18.
The Pagoda Hotel is located just outside of Waikiki in an area unofficially called Korea town, a couple of blocks away from the famous Ala Moana Shopping Center (293 stores, 80 restaurants/eateries) and Ala Moana Beach. Pagoda has provided special room rates for this event. Rooms are $155/night plus taxes and fees and come with two queen beds or one king bed, and can accommodate up to four people.
"Wednesday will be an open day for youth to enjoy with their family,” says organizer Sid Kobashigawa 6D. " We plan to have sightseeing options with tour groups, shopping, going to the beach, or just relaxing are all options. The goal of this event is to improve the student’s knowledge of go, have fellowship with other go youths and hopefully make new lifelong friends, foster cross cultural exchanges with people from other countries, enjoy the opportunity to be in Hawaii and most important of all, to have fun."

Once the early bird date has passed, the camp fee will be at the regular cost ($750). So register early to save. The camp fee does not include lodging.
