The tournament concludes Monday. A strong chasing pack of eight players sits just one point back at 3-1: Hongyi Li 6d, Andrew Huang 6d, Qiyou Wu 7d, Wei Qiu 6d, Tony Zhao 6d, Daniel Zhou 5d, Zihao Liu 6d, and Leo Tan 6d. With two rounds remaining, the championship remains very much up for grabs.
A likely top-board showdown between Lin and Zhang could go a long way toward deciding the title, but with two rounds left, the large group of 3-1 contenders remains within striking distance.
