Congress day-off excursions planned for July 29

Chris Garlock | Published on 7/11/2026

The traditional Wednesday day off at the 2026 U.S. Go Congress will offer participants an opportunity to explore Boston through four organized excursions on July 29.

This year's options include:

  • A walking tour of Boston's historic Freedom Trail
  • A visit to the campuses of Harvard University and MIT
  • A trip to the Museum of Science
  • A Duck Boat tour of Boston and the Charles River

All excursions include round-trip transportation from the Congress hotel. Each tour will also stop at Boston Common, allowing participants time for lunch, shopping, or additional sightseeing before returning to the Marriott. The final shuttle back to the hotel departs at 4:30 p.m.; participants choosing to remain in the city later will need to arrange their own transportation.

Registration for the excursions is now open. Because capacity is limited, advance registration is encouraged. Current pricing is available through July 15, after which excursion prices will increase by 10%.
