About this event
Tournament will occur over two days. 10 am to 5 pm both days. Games will be played using American Go Association (AGA) rules with Fischer Timing. Base time will be 30 minutes. Ten seconds will be added each move. Clocks, boards, and stones will be provided. Players must be members of the American Go Association. First time new members can obtain a 50% discount by using the DISCOUNT CODE: NEWHOGC. Please affiliate your membership with the Houston Go Club. Players will be organized into five playing groups as follows: high dan (no handicap), low dan (no handicap), single digit kyu (handicap), double digit kyu (handicap), and beginner.
Prizes:
OPEN SECTION
High Dan Winner: $300 and social media recognition.
Low Dan Winner: $200 and social media recognition.
HANDICAP SECTION
Single Digit Kyu Winner: Glass trophy and social media recognition.
Double Digit Kyu Winner: Glass trophy and social media recognition.
BEGINNER SECTION
Beginner: All participants will receive a certificate and social media recognition.
