Event Highlights
Competition: Get ready for an intense experience with a time setting of 25 min + 10 seconds Fischer time.
Prizes: Victory comes with its rewards! The tournament champion will receive a grand prize of $500, while the state champion will receive $200 (yes, both prizes if they qualify!). All division winners will receive prizes and physical awards. All Kyu players will be entered into a lottery to play a teaching game with Yihan Guo 7D post-tournament.
Food: Treat yourself to complimentary refreshments and the option of purchasing delicious Chinese cuisine for lunch and dinner.

Partners: Our event is made possible by the American Go Association, Association of Chinese Americans and Evanston Go Club, which is hosting the 2024 Chicago Open on May 25-26 (see website here)
The regular registration fee is $50. The early bird registration fee is $30 before April 7. College students (undergrad and grad) and youth (18 years and under or in high school) receive an additional $10 discount.
In anticipation of the event, Organizing Director Jamie Tang said, “We look forward to seeing players of all ages, levels, and backgrounds at our debut event, hosted with the ACA. Our greatest hope is to see players forge bonds over our love for the enriching game of Go.”
