The Seattle Go Center marked a milestone on October 21 with its 29th Anniversary Tournament, bringing together a lively community of 23 attendees, including 18 fierce competitors. The tournament showcased riveting battles across three divisions, culminating in an electrifying Open final.

Kenny Jin (6d) emerged victorious in the Open bracket, clinching first place after a grueling three-hour showdown under byoyomi time controls. In the handicap divisions, Yuancheng Yuan (1d), known as Cody, claimed the high-handicap title, while John Lelivelt (6k) triumphed in the low-handicap bracket.

Although the youth prize went unclaimed this year due to only one young participant, the event remained a celebration of skill, strategy, and the thriving Go community in Seattle.
