Go Spotting: Astrid

In Season 2, Episode 2 of Astrid, a French TV show aired in the US on PBS, there’s a brief view of a floor goban. Title character Astrid Nielsen, who has Asperger's syndrome and works in the library of the judicial police, excels at analyzing files of ongoing investigations. In this episode, at the 10:47 mark, she sees the goban and says, “It’s a game of go, underway with black and white even”. There are 24 white and 23 black stones on the board, the lid of white's box isn’t visible, black's has five white stones in it and there's one black stone beside it.
