The San Francisco Go Club recently concluded its inaugural youth Go class, utilizing the innovative Hei Jia Jia 7P learning platform app.
This class, comprising eleven enthusiastic students, combined weekend in-person sessions and at-home study through the app. Over the course of 12 sessions, lead teacher Ernest Brown, alongside Go Club President Matthew Barcus and Treasurer Sabrina Barcus, provided expert guidance.
The connection with Hei Jia Jia's technology team was initiated by Mrs. Barcus during her visit to Taiwan last summer, laying the foundation for this collaborative educational endeavor.
Culminating in the International Go Qualification Exam, the final class served as a milestone to acknowledge the students' progress and learning.
Building on this success, the Go Club is expanding its reach with additional classes in the San Francisco Bay Area and plans to offer this program again in Spring 2024.
