Gala Night of Pair Go

Seattle Go Center is pleased to present the 7th Annual Gala Night of Pair Go!
This is a great holiday event, with two rounds of Pair Go, cake, prizes and lots of fun. We will be following a slightly modified form of the International Pair Go rules (see for details).
- Register at the Go Center, 5:00-5:30 PM
- Entry: $10 (youth and Go Center voting members, $5)
- First round starts at 6 PM, and we expect to be finished around 10 PM
- Mixed gender two-player teams
- Festive attire is encouraged

NYGA Monthly Tournament December

Format: 4 rounds, AGA rated, with AGA rules, Swiss categorizing and rank pairings.

Handicaps: The open division (4D and up) will have no handicap, while other divisions will play with handicap-1 (e.g. a 1 Kyu player will give a 4 Kyu player 2 stone handicap).

Time settings: 25 minutes with 5 times 20-second byoyomi. Clocks are started 5 minutes after the round starts. If a player does not arrive 10 minutes after that, they will forfeit the round.

Tentative Divisions: The Open Division requires a minimum of 6 players. The rank divider is subject to change depending on the number of participants.

Jin Chen Tournament

The Jin Chen is the biggest tournament of the year at the Seattle Go Center. This three-round tournament has cash prizes, with the first place prize in the open section winning $300. The open section will be limited to the top 8 players who register. There will also be prizes in the handicapped sections.

Entry: $15 (for youth and Go Center voting members, and $10) -- includes lunch (probably pizza). This tournament is AGA rated; please make sure your AGA membership is up to date (or come early, if you're joining / renewing at the tournament). Registration at the Go Center on the day of the tournament, 10:00 to 10:30 a.m.

The event will be held at the Boylston Chess Club, 40 Norris Street, Cambridge MA
Registration starts at 9:45 a.m. Play starts at 10:30 a.m. Prizes will be awarded bin the pm-6:30pm timeframe.

Join us at the Seattle Go Center for some intense face-to-face Go! Three rounds, Japanese rules, 45 minutes per player plus byo-yomi. You do not have play all 3 rounds (just inform the Tournament Director of your plans).
There's no tournament entry fee, though the Go Center membership policies apply: younger than 18 free, first 10 visits free; otherwise, $5 for one-day membership (see for other options). And you need to be a current AGA member -- visit to join or renew. You can join / renew in person at the Go Center, but please come early to do that.

· Registration: 10:00-10:45 AM.
· First round starts: 11:00 AM.
· Lunch: People usually eat when they finish the first round. There are food options nearby, but we recommend that you bring lunch to the Go Center rather than going out for food.
· Second round starts: Generally by 1:30 PM, but may be earlier, depending on when the first games end.
· Last round ends: Usually by 5 or 5:30 PM, approximately.

The DSGC will hold a four round tournament at North Natomas Library, 4660 Via Ingoglia, Sacramento, CA. Setup and registration at 9am and the first round begins at 10 am.
