2020 SDGC / Yellow Mountain Imports Rating Tournament
The San Diego Go Club / Yellow Mountain Imports 2020 Rating tournament is Free for everyone...

40 participants are anticipated with ratings between 7-dan and 30-kyu.

Some prizes will be supplied by Yellow Mountain Imports but this is basically just a for-fun tournament.

All levels of players are welcome. To play in the first round, players must register by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020. Round one will be paired by the TD. Rounds 2-3 will be self-paired.

Players must have AGA membership.

This is an opportunity for new and old AGA members to establish or enhance their ratings.

Note: The tournament will be followed at 2:00 p.m. by a go lecture by a 7P professional, Yilun Yang, which is also free.

The NYIG Open is an annual Go tournament sponsored by the New York Institute of Go since 2017. This year's special edition is joined by two esteemed professional players from China, who will teach and interact with our Go fans. Don't burn yourself out with the tournament because you will not want to miss the night with the pros. After a Go lecture and pizza, you get to ask your own questions during "Ask the Pros" with Gu Zihao, Wang Xiangyun, Stephanie Yin, and Ryan Li.

This will be the 5th annual running of the South Central Go Tournament -- 2 days, 3 rounds each day. Open and Handicap Sections. Texas resident finishing best in the Open Section will become the Texas State Champion. Last year 12 players in the Open Section, 26 players in the Handicap.

(American Go Association) rules. We will play a total of 3 games,
There will be four divisions: (A) 2d and above, (B) 3k – 1d, (C) 8k – 4 k, and (D) 9 k and below.
There will be a handicap for some games. Three winners will be determined in each division.

Seattle Monthly Ratings Tournament - March
Join us at the Seattle Go Center for some intense face-to-face Go! Three rounds, Japanese rules, 45 minutes per player plus byo-yomi. You do not have play all 3 rounds (just inform the Tournament Director of your plans).
There's no tournament entry fee, though the Go Center membership policies apply: younger than 18 free, first 10 visits free; otherwise, $5 for one-day membership (see for other options). And you need to be a current AGA member -- visit to join or renew. You can join / renew in person at the Go Center, but please come early to do that.

· Registration: 10:00-10:45 AM.
· First round starts: 11:00 AM.
· Lunch: People usually eat when they finish the first round. There are food options nearby, but we recommend that you bring lunch to the Go Center rather than going out for food.
· Second round starts: Generally by 1:30 PM, but may be earlier, depending on when the first games end.
· Last round ends: Usually by 5 or 5:30 PM, approximately.
