This is a game between 1 kyu (Black) and 1 dan players.

In this lesson I’d like to emphasize the importance of basics. I make comments for kyu players, from 20 kyu to 1 kyu, and dan players, from 1 dan to 4 dan.

I’ve been examining more than 120 or 150 amateur games every month for many years. Based on that, I can state common adult mistakes in my commentary.

Ed note: Just going through the game moves before looking at the many variations is a good approach to studying this complex commentary by Kaz.
