Iowa Go Society will be holding a tournament to determine our State Champion. All players are welcome to compete. The State Champion will be the top performing players that is an AGA Member and resident of Iowa, even if they are not the overall winner of the tournament. The tournament will be two primary sections Beginners 9x9 - FREE - No AGA membership required, games not rated. Rules will be first to a capture threshold, self-paired (exact rules will be displayed). Open Section - Pre-registration required - $10 prior to event. Must be an AGA member in good standing. Rated 19x19 games 4 rounds 30+5x30s byo yomi All games in Open section will be Even, AGA rules, 7.5 komi, Phones in Airplane Mode, with opponents approval, may be used as clocks with a clock app. Likewise, phones with opponents approval may be used to record games. If you are using a phone for an approved purpose, it must stay visible on the table at all times during the match and be in Airplane mode. Take a break from your Holiday preparations and join us for some fun as we play Go on Saturday, December 14. This will be an AGA rated tournament, with matches paired using standard AGA handicaps for all players except the top section. Players in the top section will enjoy even games. Please check your AGA membership status at https://www.usgo.org/ and renew if needed, as you need to be current to participate. Please register before 5 PM Friday 12/13 to enable a 9:45 AM start. There is no entry fee for this event, and no cash prizes will be offered although we will provide a few trophies. We’ll use Fischer time for this one, and plan to play 4 rounds.

It‘s time once again for the SF Go Club‘s annual tournament hosted by Jujo Jiang 9p. This will be a 4-round AGA-rated Go tournament. 30 minutes main time plus 3x30 seconds byo-yomi. Free for SFGC members. Lunch included. Cash prizes for division winners. $3000 prize pool available!

2025 Phoenix Chinese Week Go (Weiqi) Open
